Payroll Giving

Payroll Giving (also known as Give As You Earn)

This is a great way to support the work of Simon Says, and get the taxman to pay a share too!

Can You Do It?

If you earn a salary, or if your pension is paid via PAYE, then you are eligible.

Who Benefits?

Bereaved families, because you don’t pay any tax on the donations you make, so all the money goes to our work supporting them.  If you are a basic rate taxpayer, and you decide to give £10 a month, it will cost you £8 per month.  If you are a higher rate tax payer it will cost you just £6!

How Do You Start?

Setting it up is easy.  Simply ask your HR or Payroll department to deduct your donation from your regular pay packet,   and as long as they have an existing relationship with an HMRC approved Payroll Giving Agency, it is as simple as that!  If they do not, then they can just visit the HM Revenue & Customs website.

If you have any queries about donating through your payroll, please email our fundraising team or contact us on 01794 323934. Alternatively look at the HM Revenue & Customs website yourself, for a more detailed explanation about the benefits of payroll giving.
